Community Boards deal with complex issues and processes, which are difficult to explain in writing. Explaining ideas and processes visually, using diagrams and cartoons, will make these concepts more casual and simple. Visual explanations can make Boards more accessible to more people.
For example, Manhattan Community Board 3 created a flyer to explain what they do and how they do it. The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) created visual explanations of complex policy topics and interactive guides about land use and urban development issues.
