Tailored Mailing List Sign-up

Specifying the kind of information and areas of interest when signing up to the Community Board's mailing list.

Boards send out newsletters and other announcements to their mailing lists. People can usually sign up to these mailing lists on the Board’s website (currently, only 10 out of 59 Boards provide this option). A tailored sign-up helps people get the information they are interested in, and helps the Board send the relevant information to the right people.

For example, when residents sign-up to Manhattan Community Board 3’s mailing list, they specify the kind of information they would like to receive (calendar of meetings, events in the district, information related to areas of interest); and select their primary community concerns (parks, housing, education, liquor licenses, economic development, cultural affairs, arts, health and more).
