Info Kiosks

A digital display for ongoing announcements, calendar items and general information. Can help Boards share information in new locations.

The most basic info kiosk is a computer displaying a looping slideshow. The more sophisticated options, such as touch screens, are more expensive too. To our knowledge, currently there aren’t any Boards using info kiosks. Also, there are technical considerations in setting them up.

Community Boards can use info kiosks at the Board’s office, community centers, libraries etc. Displaying announcements and other Board-related information in different locations throughout the neighborhood, can improve Boards’ visibility and help them reach a bigger audience.

This is an example of a touch screen info kiosk, integrated in a NYC bus stop.
