Community Event

A planned local social gathering, where Community Boards have the opportunity to promote their activity and enhance public awareness.

For example, Brooklyn Community Board 3 organizes and participates in two annual neighborhood events: “Discover Bed-Stuy” (initiated by the Community Board’s Civic Committee) and “Bed-Stuy Alive” (initiated by the Community Board’s Economic Committee). During these popular events, Community Board 3 has an information table where they talk to people and distribute flyers explaining their activity.
